Joseph R. Dietz | Associate
Mr. Dietz brings a broad range of litigation experience to Fisher Kanaris, P.C., having represented clients in a variety of matters including: business disputes, personal injury lawsuits, construction negligence cases, real estate litigation, insurance coverage and bad faith claims, and upper-level employment contract matters. Most recently, his practice has focused on commercial litigation, professional negligence, and general liability matters.
Mr. Dietz’s litigation experience covers a number of different settings. He has argued before several different appellate courts, including a recent case in the Ohio Supreme Court involving the constitutionality of a tort reform statute. He frequently represents clients in both state and federal court litigation in matters ranging from architectural malpractice and construction negligence to contract disputes and product liability actions. Mr. Dietz also has experience in alternative dispute resolution, having litigated a number of securities cases pending before arbitration panels. He has negotiated favorable settlements for clients in the context of formal mediation as well.
Before he joined Fisher Kanaris, P.C., Mr. Dietz worked in the litigation section at law firms in Memphis, Tennessee and Toledo, Ohio. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Dietz gained significant experience through internships with the Ashland County Prosecuting Attorney, the Franklin County Prosecuting Attorney, the Ohio General Assembly, and the Parliament of the United Kingdom.
