STEPHEN A. WHELAN Stephen A. Whelan is a shareholder with Fisher Kanaris, P.C. He received his B.A. in Economics, cum laude, from Boston College in 1989 and received his J.D. from Loyola University of Chicago in 1992. Mr. Whelan is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois and in the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He has also been admitted to practice pro hac vice in numerous jurisdictions throughout the United States. Mr. Whelan focuses his practice on litigation, primarily representing insurance companies as plaintiffs in cases throughout the United States. He has performed numerous on-site investigations, selected and supervised experts, and otherwise participated in all aspects of litigation. Mr. Whelan recently obtained a $3,100,000 arbitration award which was later confirmed as a judgment, arising out of fire damage to property caused by an inactive sprinkler system. Mr. Whelan has significant experience in fire litigation, product deficiencies and electrical and mechanical failures. |
